About our new minister and friend
Rev. Imes has a Theological Degrees from Yale Divinity School and Eden Theological Seminary; He took two extended quarters of Clinical Pastoral Education; and has taught Latin for four years, has been a parish pastor for 32 years, and has served as president of a Seminary for seven years. Rev. Imes has considerable knowledge and experience when it comes to being a pastor.
His wife Judy and Rev. Imes are looking forward to getting acquainted with you. Please be patient with them when it comes to remembering your names. In his twenties he could meet people and remember their faces and names after one meeting. In his forties he could remember faces but needed two or three reminders to get names straight. In his sixties he says he can forget both faces and names. He will try hard to remember both your name and your face, but, if you are not yet sixty, then please tell him your name |

for the third time and just remember that it will happen to you some day, too. And, if you are sixty or older, he will swap stories about coming into a room, and forgetting why you are there, etc., etc. Judy and Bill have been married for 46 years. She grew up on a farm 42 miles west of International Falls, Minnesota. He was born in Wisconsin when his father was in Seminary. His pastorates took him to Iowa, where he grew up, and to Minnesota where he met Judy. They have lived in North Carolina, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Iowa, and Maine. Judy is a CPA, and she has worked for the past 22 years doing accounting for a mental health agency in Maine. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren. They have lived in Waverly, Iowa; Londonderry, New Hampshire, and Johnstown, New York. They currently live in Easthampton because it is halfway between the East Coast families.
He is joining us at the beginning of the Lenten season and will be glad to share the journey to Easter with you.
Bill has at least three goals while he is our Interim Pastor: O To help us both appreciate and let go of what has been. O To help us value who we are right now. . O To help build anticipation for what is to come.
Let us welcome our new interim pastor and our friend. |
